Patricia Volk - Sculpture
I've
been very excited about recent developments with my current work, so I
thought I would briefly share with you my plans for the coming year.
I'd be delighted if you could catch up with me (or my pieces!) at one or
other of these venues.
March 15-18 - Affordable Art Show, Battersea, London
I'm
thrilled to be showing here courtesy of the Sheridan Russell Gallery,
and to be showcasing my new installation of seven sculptures (called
"Individual"), which has been chosen to be displayed prominently outside
the fair.

May to October - Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden, nr. Ockley, Surrey
Hannah's
is the most wonderful setting for sculpture and I'm always proud to be
seen there in a magnificently designed garden surrounded by the work of
so many sculptors I admire.

From March - The Garden Gallery, Broughton, nr Stockbridge, Hampshire
Proprietor Rachel Bebb, a Garden Designer, promotes the wealth of living artistic talent creating garden sculptures, and other works of art for gardens, which she believes deserves greater recognition and support.

March 31-May 6 - New Craftman Gallery, St Ives, Cornwall
They
say: "On display will be a collection of works by leading contemporary
sculptor Patricia Volk, whose striking abstract ceramics explore the
relationship between shape, colour and line in their purest form." Which
is fine by me!

This
charitable Foundation, set up by Rupert Otten, formerly of Wolseley
Fine Art, is dedicated to the promotion of contemporary sculpture and is
located in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Summer - Beukenhof-Phoenix Galleries, Kluisbergen, Belgium
A
breathtakingly beautiful gallery between Ghent and Lilles, with
sculpture in the house and also a picturesque valley outside, run by
lovely people with an infectious love of contemporary art. Well worth a
trip.

May 5, 6, 11-13 - Cloth Road Arts Week (Open Studio, Stowford Manor Farm, Trowbridge, Wilts)
A perfect chance to come and visit my studio and have a face-to-face
chat. All welcome. Also *newsflash* best cream teas in Wiltshire also
available in the adjacent farmhouse!
June 15-July 31 - Sculptural at Coombe Trenchard
Described as "An Edwardian estate in the Arts and Crafts manner",
this grand home also hosts Gardens Illustrated's Arts & Crafts
Garden Fair (1-2 June). The sculpture exhibition is curated by the
William Benington Gallery.

August 1-31 - Art in the Garden, Rococo Gardens, Painswick, Glos
The intimate and unique Rococo Gardens are curating a new
contemporary art exhibition on the theme of "Embarkation for Dangerous
Liaisons" inspired by the painting of that name by Watteau. My husband
Stephen and I are planning an installation piece called
"Incident"
- which will be very different from the ceramic work you may be used to
seeing from me - but nevertheless a continuation of my usual
preoccupations. (There will also be some of my sculptures.)
